Position Overview:

As a Procurement Expert specializing in raw materials, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of essential components for our advanced battery production. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement process for lithium and other vital materials critical to our operations. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex global supply chains to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for raw materials, primarily on lithium procurement.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, reliability, and capacity to meet our quality and quantity requirements.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost-effectiveness while ensuring product quality and reliability.

Monitor market trends, supply chain risks, and geopolitical factors affecting the availability and pricing of raw materials.

Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, production, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with production schedules and inventory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, mitigate risks, and streamline operations.

Maintain supplier relationships, resolve issues or disputes, and drive performance improvements through regular communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.

Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the battery or electronics industry.

Deep understanding of raw material markets, particularly in rare and high-value commodities such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel.

Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.

Excellent analytical abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and market research techniques.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
